Salute to Excellence Award
The Performance Awards honour individuals, groups, organizations or teams who have gained outstanding recognition at the national or international level in sport, or arts and culture.
In arts and culture, the recognition must be gained in a national or international event, such as a curated art exhibition, performance, publication, or major art commission presented by a public arts and culture organization.
In sports, the event must be recognized by a governing national sports (NSO) and/or provincial sports organization (PSO). For a Sports Performance Award, nominees must have won:
- A gold medal (open event) at a national event, or
- A gold, silver or bronze medal (open event) at Commonwealth Games, Pan American Games, World University Student Games, or World Championships. An international sports event must have 4 or more countries participating.
Congratulations to Raphael Motel for being recognized with the Salute to Excellence Award.
