These courses will offer you a good look at China’s unique ancient history and its modern-day development. You will meet new friends, experience a new culture and, at the same time, learn conversational Chinese. The IB course will fast-track students to a higher level of proficiency in language acquisition.

These courses will allow you to explore many aspects of this unique language. After studying varied themes, such as sports, travel, holidays and relationships, your Chinese language skills will become more sophisticated.
French 10-3Y, 20-3Y, 30-3Y (5 credits each)
Your adventure in learning French begins here! In this course, you will gain a cultural understanding of la francophonie that will allow you to communicate in French perhaps while traveling or while pursuing an interesting career.
French 10-9Y, 20-9Y, 30-9Y (5 credits each)
- Prerequisite: French 9
Continue your journey in French as you develop your language skills and cultural knowledge while studying activities, shopping, vacations and fine arts. From a fashion designer to a politician, and any profession in between, speaking French gives you an edge in finding the ultimate career.
Spanish 10-3Y, 20-3Y, 30-3Y (5 credits each)
You will learn about the rich and diverse culture of numerous Spanish-speaking countries in the world as you learn expressions and vocabulary related to introductions, descriptions of family and friends, preferences, sport and leisure activities, clothing, food, school, and select holidays and celebrations.
Spanish 10-6Y, 20-6Y, 30-6Y (5 credits each)
- Prerequisite: Spanish 9
Use your Spanish language skills confidently, and hold more meaningful conversations. Your cultural exploration will include authentic literary works, real-life scenarios, arts and entertainment. You will understand and share your opinion about the rich and diverse culture of numerous Spanish-speaking countries in the world.
